Episode 28: The Willows
Tuesday Dec 21, 2021
Tuesday Dec 21, 2021
CONTENT WARNING: This story is from 1907 and uses some terms and phrases from that period that are not acceptable. I do not condone the use of these terms. I am reading the text as written from the original story. The story also deals with existential horror, loneliness and briefly mentions suicide. Please be aware of this, and if this is not for you then do not be worried about not listening, your mental health and safety is more important than a spooky tale. Look after yourself first.
In this last episode before xmas and the new year I retell Algernon Blackwoods classic tale of horror in the wilds of Hungary about a trip down the Danube river in mid summer. Ladies and gentlefolk I give you "The Willows"

Episode 27: Changeling folklore and the future of the podcast
Thursday Dec 02, 2021
Thursday Dec 02, 2021
A small look at changeling folklore from across Europe and a little bit of a discussion on why the episode is not great and what is going to happen over the next few months with the podcast. This is not the best episode I have done and I'm sorry but if you listen to the end you'll see why maybe.

Due to a reaction to the covid booster this is not the episode I wanted to make, but it is a dark and chilling tale of witches and devils. I do hope you enjoy this tale and I promise the next one will be longer and have a discussion in it.
