In this final episode of "season 1" I go back into my favourite weird folklore of all time, the first written English text, the Mabi, this time we tell the tale of the third branch and of Manawyddan, the son of Llyr and how to repeat the same mistake many times and how mice can cause you many problems. I am reading the text as written from the original story. The story also deals with existential horror, loneliness and briefly mentions suicide. In this last episode before xmas and the new year I retell Algernon Blackwoods classic tale of horror in the wilds of Hungary about a trip down the Danube river in mid summer. Ladies and gentlefolk I give you "The Willows"

A bonus winter-themed episode where I run a game of Vaesen for Icy Sedgwick, Sian Powell from Celtic Myths and Legends, Vivian and Ben.
A trip to visit a friend in Iceland who then leaves them in a pub for no reason where nothing bad happens with a crystal ball and old lady.

My most haunting episode to date. I tell the tales of Oiwa, Okiku and Otsuyu, the 3 great ghost tales of Japan, the Nihon san dai kaiden.
This is my most well produced and edited episode to date. A very different style to deal with the sorrowful tales and deeply dark stories within.
I also look into the Obon festival of Japan and its roots as a close spiritual festival of the dead.
